Developer Robert Dye had a vision for the land off Airport Freeway - a sprawling warehouse complex to invigorate commerce. But residents saw only a shattered vision of the city.
‟We couldn't imagine what's gone on.
Pete Miller, representing the Nichols Park Neighborhood Association, also pleaded for denial. Bear Kidwell, a resident coordinator, agreed.
‟The neighborhood just doesn't want it.
Robert Dye of Woodhavcen commercial responded.
‟We want to be good neighbors.
Dye highlighted tweaks to prohibit truck access from Wingren. But the damage was done - zoning officials recommended denial in the face of united community dissent.
