Developer Robert Dye had a vision for the land off Airport Freeway - a sprawling warehouse complex to invigorate commerce. But residents saw only a shattered vision of the city.

Dye highlighted tweaks to prohibit truck access from Wingren. But the damage was done - zoning officials recommended denial in the face of united community dissent.
